Introductory workshop to studio work (flash technique)

Light is the most important factor in photography – especially in the studio, where photographers rely on artificial lighting, which has a significant influence on the result. In the workshop ‘Handling studio flash units’, Norbert Lanzloth, lighting professional at high-end lighting manufacturer HENSEL, introduces participants to the professional use of studio flash technology.

In the one-day workshop, participants will acquire basic knowledge of studio flash technology and lighting control: topics such as camera settings, lighting times, loading times, colour temperature and the targeted use of hard and soft light, as well as the use of different light shapers, will open up access to the world of studio photography.

The workshop takes place in the p: berlin studio. Participants will be able to learn the different possibilities of lighting design in a practical way.

In addition to the top-class HENSEL flash system, the 90 m² studio has additional equipment from NOVOFLEX, Hedler, Kaiser-Fototechnik and a SINAR p3 camera with adapters for most digital camera systems.
